The network card inside my own personal computer:

The network card inside my computer did not have to be installed because it was already in from the last time it was used in a network. Below is a picture of the inside of my computer showing the network card and other connected devices.

Here is a close up of the network card inside my computer.
The network cable connected to the network card

When installing the network cables I made sure that they were out of the way so that no one would be able to trip over them and injure themselves. I put pieces of carpet and rugs over them were needed and ran the cables along the side's of walls and under doors and I made sure that they could not be pulled out of either the network card or the hub, if any of the cables got pulled out of the network card or the hub this could potentially damage equipment to an extent were it would no longer be useable.

The hub with the network cables attached

Below is a picture that I took of the 12 port hub with the four connected cables leading to the network cards inside the four nodes

The nodes were connected to:

Hub port no 8 = Silverbullet

Hub port no 9 = Mike2

Hub port no 10 = Holly

Hub port no 11 = King

Connecting the four cables couldn't be easier, I simply plugged them in to the hub and that was all I had to do.

The network cable used

The Cat5e network cables that we used were in almost brand new condition and connected to the devices correctly with out any hassle.
